Auburn, CA – Chapa-De Indian Health is now accepting applications for a new scholarship, the April Moore Memorial Scholarship, which will be awarded annually to a an American Indian student planning to pursue a career in healthcare.
Blue Shield of California Foundation proudly announced the 9th cohort of the Clinic Leadership Institute’s (CLI) Emerging Leaders program. Chapa-De’s very own Pauline Karunakaran, Dental Director, was selected for this prestigious program.

Auburn, CA – Chapa-De Indian Health is proud to announce the launch of its newly updated website that reflects a refreshed and redesigned brand and logo while also providing patients with improved information gathering, enriched functionality and the ability to receive regular updates and notifications about important healthcare news and providers.
Chapa-De was founded in 1974 after a study showed American Indians in California suffered from a higher incidence of diabetes, depression, and substance abuse. American Indians were also found to suffer from higher rates of infant mortality and have drastically shorter life expectancy rates.
