Overview Of Addiction Service

Addiction is a chronic, progressive, relapsing disease that can be treated. At Chapa-De, you will find non-judgmental and compassionate care for all addictive diseases.

Our team at Chapa-De provides routine screenings, education, brief interventions and referrals to treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. We offer referrals to all levels of care, including outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment and residential treatment, which are available to patients with Medi-Cal. There are additional treatment options available for our American Indian patients.

We also provide short-term case management services for patients needing individual support during the referral and placement into treatment phase.

Treatment for Opiate Addiction

We offer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorders at both Chapa-De locations. We have a team of specially trained doctors, addiction nurses and behavioral health specialists dedicated to supporting our patients in their recovery from addiction to opioid pain medications and/or heroin.

The MAT program offers a comprehensive three-phased approach, which includes:

  • Medication to suppress cravings and alleviate the symptoms of withdrawal (we use buprenorphine/naloxone, also known as suboxone)
  • Behavioral Health Assessment and Care
  • Nurse Case Management & Weekly Stabilization Group Visits

Tobacco Cessation

You Can Stop Smoking!  At Chapa-De, we can help explore and heighten your motivation, develop strategies to quit, and educate about available medications (such as nicotine patches and other medications) that may help you quit and stay quit.

For more information about Tobacco Cessation, please contact your Chapa-De Medical or Behavioral Health Provider, or talk with one of our Substance Use Case Managers by calling (530) 887-2800 for Auburn or (530) 477-8545 for Grass Valley.
