Hidden behind the doors of our closest friends, family, and neighbors, there could be a frightening truth. One in three women and one in four men in California have or will experience Domestic Violence during their lifetime. For those within native communities, the numbers are even higher with 48% of AIAN women and 41% of AIAN men experiencing Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).
