National Day of Hope

Today we are celebrating the National Day of Hope. As the weather is warming up and days are becoming longer, we use this time to reflect on the positive things in our lives and how we can share our hope with others.

Whether it is volunteering somewhere, helping out a friend or being a good role model for someone in your life, take this National Day of Hope to appreciate what you have and remain hopeful for the future.

History

National Day of Hope was founded by an organization called Mothers in Crisis, Inc. in 1991. Those in the organization wanted to find ways to support women and families in need. Sometimes the best way to support someone is to give them hope. Having hope empowers people to find new paths and ways to celebrate what they have.

How to observe

There are many ways you can bring hope into someone’s life. Some examples are:

  • Volunteer
  • Have meaningful and healthy communication with others
  • Donate time, food or money to help those in need
  • Spread words of hope online
  • Clean up polluted areas
  • Share your stories of overcoming hard times with those struggling

At Chapa-De, we believe hope can be a cure. If you or someone you know is ill, down on their luck, or wishing for a brighter future, a little hope can help lift spirits and better health.

As you search for or reflect on where you find hope today, we want to take a brief moment to share with you what keeps us at Chapa-De hopeful. Every day, at our clinics and in our communities, we see inspiring patients and staff that make us incredibly hopeful for the future. It is the continued support and trust in the team that patients gift us that both excites us and creates hope for a healthier tomorrow.

We want to do whatever we can to help give you and your loved ones hope today and every day.
