Thank You Nurses!
Chapa-De Indian Health Auburn Grass Valley | Medical Clinic
If you have ever been to a medical office or facility, it is likely you have been helped by a nurse. Nurses are an essential part of the medical care system – without them, doctors and other medical professionals would not be able to do their jobs. Today we are taking time to thank all nurses for the important and necessary work that they do.
Nursing is the practice of caring for patients’ needs by supporting them physically and emotionally. Nurses work in hospitals, doctor’s offices, health clinics, and more. In all settings, nurses are there to ease a patient’s mind and make their health visit go as smoothly as possible.
What do nurses do?
Because there are so many medical fields, there is no one answer to the question of what nurses do. Nurses in different fields do different things. However, all nurses work tirelessly to provide the best care and support for patients that they can. By monitoring patients and using their medical knowledge, nurses are able to use an all-encompassing view of a patient’s well being to help heal them.
Types of nurses
There are many types of professional nurses. At Chapa-De we are proud to have three types of nurses as part of our medical care teams:
- Registered Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system in the United States
- Nurse Practitioners prescribe medication, diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries.
- Licensed Vocational Nurses support health care teams and provide basic and routine care to the public.

How to appreciate the nurses in your life
One way to show your appreciation for the nurses that have helped you or a loved one is to say a simple, “Thank you,” the next time you visit a health office. This will go a long way in letting nurses know how much you appreciate their efforts in keeping you happy and healthy!
Nurses at Chapa-De
We have a great nursing staff at Chapa-De. Nicole Conzoner is one of them. She has been with the Chapa-De team for over 4 years and is our RN Clinical Coordinator at our Grass Valley clinic. Before Chapa-De, Nicole worked as an Obstetrical RN, finding her passion for helping patients through both challenging and life changing times. In nursing school, she worked on American Indian Reservations, connecting with the community and learning about their cultures. Having someone like Nicole on our team, with her experience and understanding of our patient’s needs and culture, is invaluable to our patient population. And Nicole is not alone. We have many nurses that comprise our team here. We are very thankful for all the work they do.
