COVID-19 Vaccine
Chapa-De Indian Health Auburn Grass Valley | Medical Clinic
Last month the FDA authorized the first COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccine administration has already started in some parts of the country. Chapa-De will receive and will provide COVID-19 vaccines to our patients in order of priority based on various factors. Chapa-De will keep patients updated on COVID-19 vaccine information throughout the new year. This will include notifying patients once the vaccine is available to them.
Learn More About the Vaccine
The vaccine safety system in the United States makes sure that all vaccines are as safe as possible. The COVID-19 vaccines authorized by FDA have been carefully evaluated in clinical trials. The CDC has provided much information about the vaccine.

How Will It Be Distributed
Each state will distribute the vaccine differently. Leaders in California are planning the distribution of the vaccine across our state. Right now, the vaccine supply is limited. At first, the vaccine will be given to healthcare workers and long-term care residents. The next phase will be for essential workers and those at the highest risk of becoming infected or severely ill with COVID-19.
Distribution of the vaccine is subject to change. To learn more about how the vaccine will be distributed, click HERE.
While the vaccine is being distributed, we encourage everyone to still be safe. Please continue wearing your masks, social distancing, a following the other precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19.
