Who Can Help Me with Medical Coverage, Insurance, and Medi-Cal ?

A lot is going on with medical coverage right now. Big changes are happening across Northern California as Medi-Cal switches to Partnership Healthplan and returns to its annual renewal process from before the Pandemic. These changes might have caused you to lose your coverage. There’s also good news, though. More Californians are now eligible to get Medi-Cal. We know it can be confusing and frustrating to stay on top of it all so our Care Coordinators are available to help with your Medical Coverage, Insurance, and Medi-Cal needs. Here’s what to know.

Medi-Cal Renewals

When it’s time to renew your Medi-Cal, you will get one of two letters in the mail. The first letter is when your Medi-Cal is automatically renewed. If this is the case, you don’t need to do anything else and you are covered for another year. If you get a letter in a yellow envelope, this means that you need to give Medi-Cal more information before you can be renewed. Remember, there is a due date to send this information back to Medi-Cal. Read your letter for more information.

What if I lost my Medi-Cal or insurance?

If you lose your Medi-Cal or insurance, don’t panic. You don’t have to go through the renewal process alone. Our Care Coordinators have the experience to help guide you on next steps for getting your coverage back or finding another option. They can also walk you through your options for continued care at Chapa-De.

Can Chapa-De’s Care Coordinators help me apply for Medi-Cal?
