Reporting Abuse

Chapa-De Indian Health Auburn Grass Valley | Medical Clinic

Chapa-De is committed to promoting the total health and wellbeing of our patients. That includes offering support to victims and survivors of abuse. Across the world, reports of abuse have increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That is true in our communities as well. Our team participates in regular trainings to recognize and respond to signs of abuse. This can include offering help, reporting abuse and connecting patients with emergency shelters and other resources.

Behavioral Health Services

There are many reasons that people can be hesitant to ask for help. We understand that. Our team works with patients to prepare them for that first step and to heal from the trauma of living through abuse. Our providers help patients reach their mental and emotional health goals.

Your Chapa-De Care Team Is Here for You

Your care team in every Chapa-De department is ready to help you get to safety if you need it. We can connect you with our Behavioral Health team and also offer referrals to community agencies. These can be for both urgent needs, as well as long term solutions. This can include:

  • Financial help
  • Housing
  • Pet-friendly shelters
  • And more.

These services are available to all patients, regardless of gender.

Community Resources

There are many resources available in our communities. Stand Up Placer and Community Beyond Violence are two great organizations. They are dedicated to empowering survivors and healing the effects of abuse.

Stand Up Placer offers crisis intervention and recovery services. They are based in Placer County with direct services offices in both Roseville and Auburn.
