Chapa-De Indian Health Auburn Grass Valley | Medical Clinic

Medi-Cal coverage has expanded! More adults are now able to get full-scope Medi-Cal coverage. Immigration status and assets no longer matter. Chapa-De celebrates this expanded access to vital healthcare services for more of our community.

Who is included in this expansion?

More adults ages 26-49 years old now have access to full scope Medi-Cal. Applicants must meet income guidelines and other eligibility rules. However, immigration status is no longer considered. Asset limits were also removed for all ages. This means only income is considered and not property, vehicles, bank accounts or cash. You may be eligible now, even if you were denied recently.

Does immigration status matter?

No! Immigration status does not matter. Medi-Cal does not count toward Public Charge. Applying will not affect your immigration status.

What services does Medi-Cal cover?

Full scope Medi-Cal will help pay for many services, such as:

  • Doctor visits
  • Prescribed medications
  • Vaccines
  • Mental health care
  • Substance use care
  • Vision care/eyeglasses
  • Dental care
  • Hearing aids
