International Women’s Day

Chapa-De Indian Health Auburn Grass Valley | Medical Clinic

Chapa-De is a close community. The Chapa-De team prides itself on empowering team members and encouraging patients to be the healthiest version of themselves. We also believe in providing quality care to all patients, regardless of gender. Today, Chapa-De is recognizing International Women’s Day.

The purpose of International Women’s Day is to look at the differences in how men and women are currently treated all over the world, and then motivate people to bridge those gaps.

At Chapa-De we are very lucky to work in a place that encourages and supports all employees equally. Many workplaces are not like that. That is why it is important to use days like this to remind women that they are just as strong, just as smart, and just as qualified.

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is #EachforEqual. “An equal world is an enabled world. Equality is not a women’s issue, it’s a business issue. Gender equality is essential for economies and communities to thrive.” – International Women’s Day.

Equality is not just important for the world. It is important to the success of Chapa-De. April Moore served on the Chapa-De Board of Directors for 26 years. Moore dedicated her life to creating equality in access to healthcare. Her work focused on Native and low-income community members. With Moore’s vision in mind, Chapa-De continues to create a space of equality for patients and staff.

At Chapa-De, we believe in equal access to exceptional healthcare. We believe care should not be dependent on factors like gender, race, religion, and more. We are committed to creating an environment where patients can receive exceptional care, and staff is treated equally.
