School is almost out, and summer is on the way! If you live in Nevada or Placer County, there are lots of fun camps your kids can join. These camps are great for trying new things, staying active, and making friends. Many offer help with costs too. Check out this list of local summer camps and how to sign up!

🤿 Summer at the Y – Gold Country YMCA
Kids in 1st to 6th grade can join weekly day camps full of fun themes and activities from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Kids will also learn about being kind, honest, respectful, and responsible.

🏐 Bright Futures for Youth – GREAT Camp 2025
This camp helps kids learn leadership skills like communication, decision-making, and goal-setting. They also play games and work together in fun groups.

🎭 The Center for the Arts Summer Camps
Let your child be creative! Camps include Rock Band, Clay Creations, Storyseeds, and even Aerial Circus. It’s a great place to explore music and art.

🌱 Food Love Farm Summer Camp
Kids can dig in the dirt, grow food, and learn about healthy eating while having fun outdoors. A great camp for nature lovers!
🎨 Nevada City Parks & Recreation Day Camps
Pioneer Park turns into a summer fun zone with themed camps in June and July. There will be crafts, outdoor games, and lots of laughter.
🐾 Nevada County 4-H Summer Camp
From July 21–25 at Donner Mine Camp, this overnight camp is for kids ages 9–13. There’s hiking, games, team-building, and more!
Placer County
🤸♂️ ARD Summer Camps
These camps have something for everyone, like Pokémon Lego, Felting Fun, and more. Camps are at local parks and Live Oak Waldorf School.
⚽ Discovery Day Camp
This flexible camp runs all summer, Monday–Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Kids ages 3–12 can enjoy crafts, games, swimming, and field trips. You can choose which days to attend!
🧩 Boys & Girls Club Summer Camp
Kids can come for fun games, teamwork, and making new friends. Camps run from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM every weekday.

🦉 Placer Nature Center Camps
From June 24 to July 31, these weekly camps focus on nature, science, and outdoor fun. Great for kids who love the outdoors.

🤖 City of Roseville Specialty Camps
Roseville has special camps for cooking, robotics, sports, and art. There’s something for every interest!
📌 Scholarships: Yes – Up to $200 for Roseville families.
🛶 Placer County 4-H Resident Camp
Held July 7–11 at Donner Mine Camp, this overnight camp includes crafts, swimming, campfires, and leadership fun for kids 9–13.
