Now accepting new patients for medical care! Please join us in welcoming our new family medicine providers.
Chapa-De is excited to welcome, Dr. Marisa Pinto, Dr. Paula Rincon, and Dr. Jacqulyne Sylvia to our Medical team. With their support, we are proud to be accepting new medical patients to our Auburn and Grass Valley health centers.
Accepting New Medi-Cal Patients
We have been working hard to recruit new providers who share our commitment to providing exceptional care to American Indians, Medi-Cal members, Medicare recipients, and the uninsured. With the addition of these new providers to our Chapa-De team, we are able to accept more patients in our communities.
Meet Our Providers
Marisa Pinto, MD
School: University of North Dakota, School of Medicine, 2021
School of Residency: University of California, Davis
Residency Type: Family Medicine
Specialties: Family Medicine
I am a Family-Medicine-trained Doctor of Medicine at Chapa-De Auburn. I serve all patients while also having special interests in women’s health, integrative healthcare, and disparities in Native American care. Having been raised on the reservation of the Pueblo of Zuni, New Mexico, and Northern Paiute in Reno, Nevada, I saw the need for family medicine physicians. I knew as a child I wanted to serve Native communities. I now serve my patients through holistic and whole-person healthcare with a focus on preventative care that includes social factors, family, and personal goals.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my grandkids, reading, and getting outside. I love hiking, running, weight training, gardening, and hitting the pickle-ball courts.
Paula Rincon, MD
School: Graduated from West Virginia University, School of Medicine, 2021
School of Residency: University of Colorado, Denver
Residency Type: Family Medicine
Specialties: Family Medicine
I am a Doctor of Medicine at Chapa-De Grass Valley. I specialize in Family Medicine and have special interests in Women’s Health, Diabetes Management, and Lifestyle Medicine. I meet my patients where they are in their health journeys and provide them with tools to achieve their goals. I strive to create a supportive and judgment-free environment.
In my time away from work, I enjoy hiking, gardening, and hanging out with my family, friends, and pets. You might even catch me at the next rodeo!
Jacqulyne Sylvia, DO
School: A.T. Still University, School of Osteopathic Medicine, 2018
School of Residency: Natividad Medical Center, University of California San Francisco
Residency Type: Family Medicine
Specialties: High-Risk Obstetrics
Board Certification: American Board of Family Medicine
I am a Family Medicine trained physician who specializes in high-risk Obstetrics. I serve all patients but specialize in Women’s Health, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and reproductive health. I completed a high-risk surgical Obstetrics fellowship after my family medicine training and use my experience to help bring high-quality healthcare to my patients. By leading with compassion and empathy, I hope to empower patients to advocate for themselves through shared decision-making and team-based care.
When I am away from Chapa-De, I deliver babies, perform c-sections, and see newborns at a local hospital. I also enjoy painting, traveling, and spending time with my husband and new son.
