We are excited to share an update on our new 62,000-square-foot health center in Rocklin, CA. This new health center will make it easier for our community to access important healthcare services without long drives or wait times for appointments. Groundwork has now started, bringing us a step closer to providing essential healthcare services to communities in South Placer County.
A Central Place for Health Services
The South Placer Health Center will be a central location for medical, dental, behavioral health services, and more. This is great news for those living further south of our existing health centers in Auburn and Grass Valley. With the opening of this new location, we can provide easier access to patients who might not seek regular care due to cost or transportation.
Improving Access for Everyone
We are committed to accessible healthcare. We were established in 1974 after a survey found Native Americans in our area weren’t receiving the same level of healthcare as others in our community. Now over 50 years later, we’ve expanded to proudly offer our services to individuals enrolled in Medi-Cal and Medicare, as well as those from low-income backgrounds. Once running at full capacity, this expansion will allow us to serve an additional 15,000 patients, helping more community members to access the care they need.
A Focus on Holistic Healing
The new center will continue our focus on holistic healing. With different departments working together within our health center, our patients will receive the best care possible to achieve whole-person care. This means that doctors, dentists, and mental health experts will work as a team to take care of all the needs of the patients. This way, patients will have a complete support system for their health and can focus on feeling better.
Along with the health services offered inside, the health center will feature beautiful gardens and walking paths landscaped with native plants and healing herbs. These serene spaces are designed to promote wellness and tranquility, providing excellent opportunities for both physical activity and relaxation.
Celebrating Cultural Heritage
Throughout the building will be art and designs that honor Native American culture. It will feature artwork from local Native artists and community members, celebrating the rich heritage of the lands. We also are excited to include a stunning two-story hand-painted mural in the lobby featuring natural and Native imagery.
When Will Chapa-De Indian Health South Placer Open?
We expect to open the South Placer Health Center in late 2026. As we move forward, we will share updates on our progress and other milestones leading to the grand opening.
