There are some things you can do ahead of time to prepare your child for their upcoming vaccine. A few things you can do are:
- Use positive words to create a positive perception of the experience
- Let your child know that you hear their worries
- Take slow, deep breaths
- Make sure your child is sitting comfortably

Why Get Vaccinated?
Getting children ages 6 months and older vaccinated will help to keep them healthy. The vaccine has been proven to be both safe and effective. Some children who get COVID-19 do not have many symptoms. However, they can still spread the virus to others. By getting vaccinated, the chance of this greatly decreases. Getting young children vaccinated will not only keep them safe, but also help to protect the community.
