The colder months bring on many illnesses and sicknesses. Two common sicknesses during the winter are the common cold and influenza. To make sure you don’t get sick, it is very important to take care of yourself mentally and physically. Chapa-De is here to help you should you become ill. Remember, we would much rather keep you healthy than treat preventable diseases. So, make sure you are doing everything you can to stay healthy this season!
Prevent the Cold and Flu
There are many things you can do to prevent getting the Cold and/or Flu this season. Here are a few:
- Wash your hands often
- Get a flu shot
- You can do this at a Chapa-De clinic or your local pharmacy
- Find where you can get a flu shot near you HERE
- Don’t get close to others who are sick
- Stay home when you are sick
- Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing
- Don’t touch your eyes, nose and mouth

Managing the Cold and/or Flu
If you get sick this winter, make sure you:
- Drink lots of water
- Calm a sore throat
- Stop stuffiness
- Ease pain
- Drink warm liquids

We offer same-day appointments that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
