We are thrilled to announce the winners of our 50th Anniversary Art Contest! For this contest, we invited the members of our community to help us celebrate 50 years as an organization by submitting an original art piece that represented Chapa-De. The creativity and talent were simply amazing, making it hard for our judges to choose. After much deliberation, two artists stood out. Let’s meet our winners and learn more about their artwork!
General Category Winner: Linda Menge
Linda Menge is the talented artist who claimed the top spot in the General
Category. Linda’s submission features a grand oak tree surrounded by inspiring words like healing, care, spirit, health, goodness, gentleness, and hope. These words carefully frame the tree, symbolizing what patients can find and nurture through Chapa-De.
Linda’s artwork also pays a beautiful tribute to our 50th anniversary. The oak tree, strong and enduring, represents the foundation and growth of our organization over the years. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come and the positive impact we’ve made together in the community. Thank you, Linda, for capturing our spirit and mission so wonderfully!
Youth Category Winner: Katalina E.
In the Youth Category, Katalina E. wowed us all with her vibrant
design. Her artwork showcases a tree in Fall, bursting with colorful leaves and a climbing vine. This tree stands tall above the Chapa-De entrance sign, surrounded by flowers.
Katalina’s piece is not only visually stunning but also full of life and energy. Her artwork perfectly captures the dedication we put into the grounds of our health centers in order to encourage a healing environment. Congratulations, Katalina, on your well-deserved win!
A Big Thank You
Thank you to everyone who participated and shared their vision of Chapa-De. We look forward to turning these designs into stickers to feature on our water bottles and celebrating the creativity that makes our community so special!
We also want to thank everyone who supported the contest, from the judges to the organizers and, of course, those who submitted a design. Your enthusiasm made this event a success!
