Don’t sit idle this summer! There are many free activities for both your children and entire family to enjoy throughout Placer and Nevada County.
California State Library Parks Pass
In partnership with the First Partner’s Office and the California State Library, State Parks is providing free vehicle day-use entry to over 200 participating state parks if you have a library card.
California public library-card holders can check out the State Library Parks Pass via their local public library. If you don’t have a library card, visit your local library to get one. The library card and park pass are free!

Placer County Library Events for Kids
Baby Lapsit: Baby Lapsit is a 30-minute program that includes books, songs, rhymes, bounces, and playtime for babies 0-24 months and their caregivers.

Builders Club: Each month, build a themed LEGO creation or create your own design! This is for children of all ages and their caregivers, and bricks are provided.

Preschool Storytime: Preschool Storytime is a 30 minute program that includes stories, songs, fingerplays and fun for children ages 3-5 and their caregivers.

Toddler Time: Toddler Time is a 25-30 minute program that includes movement, songs and books to develop First 5 skills for children 18-36 months and their caregivers.
