Wildfires can be scary and it can be hard to think clearly in an emergency. Being prepared ahead of time can help ensure you know what to do to stay safe and what to take with you in case of a wildfire near you.
How to Prepare for Fire Season
Fires can spread and grow quickly, especially in our area. The best way to reduce your risk during an emergency is to be prepared. Some things you can do to prepare include:

How to Make a Plan
It is important to talk with your family about what you will do in case of an emergency. Your family may not all be in the same place when disaster strikes. Having a set plan on where to go and who will handle what, can help keep you all safe.

What to Put in an Emergency Kit
An emergency kit should include the items you and your household would need for several days. The items include basic supplies like water, food, a first aid kit and a change of clothes. Your emergency kit should also include any items unique to your family, such as medications, or pet supplies.
