Immunization Awareness and Services

Chapa-De Indian Health Auburn Grass Valley | Medical Clinic

August is National Immunization Awareness Month. Immunizations help prevent us all from getting sick. Now more than ever, it is important to make sure we are up to date on our immunizations.

Immunizations are not just for kids. Adults need to be vaccinated as well. These vaccinations protect against serious illnesses like the flu, measles and pneumonia.

Don’t Delay Immunizations.

Studies show that childhood immunization rates have fallen during the COVID-19 pandemic leaving children at risk for getting serious diseases when they are young and most vulnerable.

It is time to start thinking about Back to School preparations and the cooler winter months. Chapa-De wants to remind you that while there may be question of what back to school will look like in our communities, there’s no question that we should protect our kids from preventable diseases.  Back to school season is still a great time to make sure your children are up to date on immunizations.

Health and Safety Measures at Chapa-De

We understand that you might feel anxious about visiting our health centers for immunizations because of COVID-19.

That is why Chapa-De has added the following health and safety precautions:

  • COVID-19 Health Screenings
  • Mandatory Face Covers
  • Increased Cleaning and Sanitizing
  • Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing (this keeps ill patients separated from others)

Get Back on Track! Schedule Your Immunization Appointment Today.

Chapa-De has special childhood immunization clinics at both of our health centers every week. Appointments need to be made in advance by calling our offices directly. Immunizations are free to Chapa-De patients age 18 and under – clinic times can be found HERE.
